The Henry County commissioners Tuesday opened the bids for a new Meals on Wheels truck.

Two bids were submitted for the truck, which had a dealership estimate of $28,985 and a refrigeration/housing estimate of $19,000.

Snyder Buick, Scott Street in Napoleon, bid $27,182 for the truck and $19,742 for the refrigeration/housing portion. Snyder Chevrolet, North Perry Street in Napoleon, bid $26,682 for the truck and $19,742 for the refrigeration/housing portion.

The bid award was tabled until next week.

The project is being funded through the Community Development Block Grant funds.

Thursday’s agenda includes a rescheduled meeting with Landfill Manager Mike Imbrock at 9:30 a.m. and Henry County Engineer Tim Schumm at 10 a.m. for the bid opening of the 2021 resurfacing project.
