The Napoleon Fire Department responded to a garage fire early Wednesday morning.

Fire Chief Clayton O’Brien issued a press release stating fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to 221 E. Barnes St. for a fully-involved garage fire.

Upon arrival the fire crews began a defensive strategy to protect the exposed neighboring garage and house. It was reported there was also a camper and truck within exposure. Personnel had water on the fire within 90 seconds of arriving on scene.

The department was assisted on scene by the Ridgeville Township Fire Department. There were no injuries reported and a total of 4,400 gallons of water were used.

The fire remains under investigation with the Ohio State Fire Marshall’s Office.
