Ridgeville Township

RIDGEVILLE TOWNSHIP — An Archbold woman was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening.

According to Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Daman, Brianna Rupp, 27, of Archbold was northbound on County Road 24 at approximately 9:21 p.m. when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Route 6. Rupp’s vehicle was struck by a westbound semi operated by James Roth, 64, of Archbold. Both vehicles overturned and came to rest in a ditch.

Rupp was transported via air ambulance to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where she is listed in critical condition. Roth was treated at the scene by Archbold EMS.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Assisting at the scene were Ridgeville Township Fire and EMS, Archbold EMS, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ohio Department of Transportation.
