HCH 100 years

Above is the front and back of this year’s Henry County Chamber of Commerce Christmas ornament celebrating 100 years of Henry County Hospital.

This year Henry County Hospital reached a milestone, and that mark is being commemorated on the Henry County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas ornaments.

“The 2019 Christmas ornament features the Heller Memorial Hospital and the 100th anniversary of the Henry County Hospital,” said Henry County Chamber of Commerce Director Joel Miller.

“Each year we look to memorialize a historic structure or feature of Henry County and we are very excited to have the hospital this year,” Miller added.

The ornament is white with blue and yellow lettering and design. There are a limited amount available and they can be purchased at the chamber office at 611 N. Perry St. in Napoleon for $9 plus tax.

Miller added commemorating the hospital fits in with the typical ornament theme of a historical building perfectly.

“It is a building that has seen countless Henry Countians born and cared for deeply over its history and the story it tells is heartwarming,” Miller said. “Families have taken advantage of this facility for generations.”

He pointed out the chamber still has past ornaments available for purchase. Those can also be purchased at the chamber office and many cost $3.

“In the past, the chamber’s ornaments have featured Henry County’s historic buildings, monuments and natural resources,” said Henry County Chamber of Commerce Chairman Amy Watson.

“These ornaments are a great way to think back to past Christmases and let kids know about some of our heritage,” Watson added.
