RIDGEVILLE TOWNSHIP — One individual has died following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 6 and County Road 24 Monday evening.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Keller, 62, of Defiance was northbound on Road 24 at approximately 6:27 p.m. when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection of Rte. 6. Keller’s passenger car struck the passenger side of a car that was eastbound on Rte. 6 and was operated by Amanda Carner, 38, of Bryan.
There were two passengers in Carner’s vehicle, Michael Thomason, 40, of Bryan and a female juvenile. Both drivers and occupants were transported to Defiance Regional Medical Center, where Thomason later passed away from his injuries.
It was reported Keller was freed from his vehicle by non-mechanical means, and the occupants of Carner’s vehicle were extricated by mechanical means. Damage to both vehicles was disabling.
The crash remains under investigation.
