HAMLER — The Patrick Henry Local Schools Board of Education recently approved multiple financial matters.

The board approved:

•Participation with the Schools of the Ohio Risk Sharing Authority (SORSA), effective July 1-June 30, 2021, with a premium of $64,184.

•A transfer of $1,977.35 from the general fund to the 2019 certificates of participation debt service fund.

•The NWOCA fiscal year 2021 membership fees.

•The 2021 budget of the Patrick Henry School District Library.

•Setting the 2020-21 lunch price as reduced breakfast, 30 cents; breakfast, $1.25; lunch for pre-K through eighth grade, $2.50; lunch for grades 9-12, $2.75; super lunch, $3.25; adult lunch, $3.25; reduced lunch, 40 cents; and milk, 40 cents.

•School fees and athletic ticket prices for the 2020-21 school year.

The board also approved treasurer recommendation items in an addendum, including 2020 final appropriations, 2021 temporary appropriations and carrying over all outstanding encumbrances to the next fiscal year.

The board also:

•Employed Carolyn Hartman as the district’s RE coordinator for the 2020-21 school year.

•Approved a memorandum of understanding for the hosting of education intern and practicum students with Defiance College.

•Employed Brian Morrow for the 2020-21 extracurricular position of head wrestling coach.

•Accepted the donation of a trailer from Fred and Elverna Koester.

•Approved the administering of physician-approved medications to students for the 2020-21 school year in accordance to the district’s policy.
