A retirement open house for Barbara Dawson was held Thursday evening at the McClure Community Library. Dawson is retiring after working 30 years at the library. Dawson is the branch manager of the McClure location, which is part of the Napoleon Public Library. Dawson noted when she started working the McClure library, it was located at the former school before moving to its current location on Cross Street. "It's amazing the changes at the library since I started," Dawson said, adding she learned to use technology such as computers as they were added to the library. "My favorite part is helping people find books they want. It's nice when you can find what they enjoy." In her retirement, Dawson said she is hoping to travel with family. Dawson and her husband, Dean, live in McClure.
