HAMLER — Patrick Henry Middle School students recently participated in a high school introduction event — GO 24.

The purpose of this event was to provide incoming freshmen with an opportunity to get information regarding the high school experience, prior to registration. Each content area provided one table (such as English — 1, Math — 1, Art — 1, Spanish -1) — with a focus on freshmen level teachers/courses. Departments planned and set up a table or display.

Information that was presented included: courses offered for freshmen, main topics covered and anything else teachers thought was important for an incoming freshman to know.

One to two juniors or seniors were selected to lead the tables during the orientation, while eighth graders asked seniors questions about the courses and their experiences.
