Berry Gordy Jr. founded Motown Records in Detroit on this date in 1959. Some of the initial artists that recorded for Gordy were Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and Mary Wells. Later, such groups as The Supremes, The Four Tops and The Jackson 5 became part of Motown music.
Children can laugh up to 400 times a day, but for adults this frequency drops to barely 15 times a day. Where is our laughter?

Guillermo Reyes and his pet parrot go everywhere together. While driving in Mexico City after having a few drinks one night, Reyes was stopped at a police checkpoint. He knew that if he played it cool, he’d be okay. But when the officer arrived at his car, the parrot starting squawking, “He’s drunk! He’s drunk!” so the cops gave Reyes a Breathalyzer test, which he failed.
