LCCG holds Rock the Runway

Ladies Conquering Cancer Gala (LCCG) held its annual event May 18 at The Armory Arts & Events Center in Napoleon. This year’s theme was Rock the Runway. Seven cancer survivors modeled outfits donated by local boutiques Top Knot, Wenleemae, TheHanger, Passion4Fashion, Blush Mountain and Sara Heising — Independent Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper. The outfits were later auctioned off in a live auction. The mission of the gala is to live life to its fullest by celebrating life with supportive women while raising funds for the advancement of cancer research and to support local families and communities impacted by the disease. They have helped six local families over the last year and donate to Conquer Cancer Foundation annually, according to Mary Stefko, LCCG president. Models included (from left) Anne Gregory, Shellie Kosmerchock, Taylor Ramirez, Haley Passalacqua, Deb Shinabery, Tammy Miller and Sandy Bucchop.
