A ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held for the Hamler Village Recycling Center. The Henry County Solid Waste Management District reported the sort-and-separate recycling facility recently opened at the site of the wastewater treatment plant on the southeast corner of Hamler. Materials for the facility were purchased by the Village of Hamler and the structure was constructed by members of the Hamler Men’s Club. “(Mayor) Jeff (Brubaker) was instrumental in making this project possible,” said Solid Waste District Coordinator Mike Imbrock. “Through his leadership, we were able to coordinate the construction of this facility, which is the seventh recycling site available to Henry County residents.” The seven sites are Hamler, Deshler, McClure, Liberty Center, the Napoleon canal basin and Henry County Landfill. The goal for the district is to have 10 sites, with Imbrock hoping to work with Holgate, Ridgeville Corners and Florida.
