The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office reported an Edgerton man was charged with having drugs over bulk following a Friday traffic stop.

The office reported a traffic stop was conducted on State Route 127 near State Route 18 and Luther Vance, 53, was found to be wanted on a felony warrant. Upon further investigation, it was reported a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine was located.

Vance was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and aggravated possession of drugs over bulk, a felony of the third degree. Vance was transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, and is scheduled for video arraignment Monday. According to CCNO online records, Vance is also being held on a charge of failure to appear.

The felony case file will be sent to the Defiance County prosecutor’s office for a presentation to a Defiance County grand jury.
