DEFIANCE — The Defiance County prosecuting attorney’s office reported two individuals were recently sentenced in Defiance County Common Pleas Court.
Jason E. Long, 39, residence not reported, entered a guilty plea to one count of failure to register, a felony of the third degree. He was sentenced to a mandatory term of 18 months at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) with credit for 15 days already served. Long was further ordered to pay costs (stayed until released from prison).
It was reported, following his release from ODRC on Sept. 17, 2018, Long, who is required to register as a sex offender, failed to register his address as required. He was previously convicted of compelling prostitution, a felony of the third degree, and also has a prior conviction for failure to register.
Jenise J. Winnie, 22, of Sherwood, was sentenced on one count of vandalism, a felony of the fourth degree, and one count of burglary, a felony of the third degree. Winnie was sentenced to a total of 36 months at ODRC with credit for 20 days already served. Winnie was further ordered to pay costs (stayed until released from prison).
