Napoleon Police Department

Update:

Phillip Cobb, 45, of Napoleon was southbound, exiting the driveway near Hills Restaurant and waiting on traffic on Lagrange Street at 5:17 p.m. Oct. 6. Cobb observed a juvenile on bicycle slowing and Cobb began entering LaGrange Street while the bicyclist proceeded across the driveway. The bicycle and vehicle struck each other, causing the juvenile to be knocked off the bicycle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

Arrested:

•Mark Murar, 50, city of residence not reported, for assault, 263 Yeager St., 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, taken to Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO).

•Karla Olson, 49, of Minnesota, for public indecency; menacing; felonious assault; obstructing official business; and resisting arrest; Petro 2, 10:19 p.m. Wednesday, taken to CCNO.

•Joshua Schieber, 28, of Napoleon, on warrant, directly at the police department, 5:30 p.m. Thursday, nothing further reported.

Charged:

•Selena Wissink, 42, of Napoleon, with misdemeanor theft, Walmart, 6:21 p.m. Thursday, issued summons.

•Suspicious vehicle, Henry County Job & Family Services, 7:44 p.m. Wednesday, nothing further reported.

•Domestic violence, West Main Street, 10:36 p.m. Wednesday, dispute only.

•Criminal trespassing, Lassus BP, 2:57 p.m. Thursday, three warnings issued.

•Driving complaint, Independence Drive near Oakwood Avenue, 7:53 p.m. Thursday, unable to locate

•Driving complaint, South Perry Street near Napoleon Party Mart, 2:59 a.m. Friday, subject reported vehicle driving recklessly, motorist advised of complaint.

•Suspicious vehicle, sheriff’s office, 11:54 a.m. Friday, all okay.

•Criminal trespassing, Napoleon Party Mart, 2:44 p.m. Friday, warning issued.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

Accidents:

Claudio Salas, 26, of Liberty Center was traveling into the parking lot of Circle K in Liberty Center at 4:09 p.m. Thursday when he advised his brakes stopped working and his vehicle traveled through a wooden fence. No injuries were reported. The vehicle wasn’t damaged. Salas was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Landin Miller, 18, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was westbound on U.S. Route 6 near State Route 109 in Damascus Township at 11:40 p.m. Thursday when he fell asleep and his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, through a grass, struck a utility pole and then struck a wooden yard well. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was disabled. Miller was cited for failure to control.

•Suspicious person, State Route 108 near County Road S, Freedom Township, 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, vehicle broke down, help arrived.

•Identity theft, D-974 County Road 10A, Hamler, 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, unwanted account opened.

•Business alarm, Denny’s IGA, Liberty Center, 9:47 a.m. Thursday, false alarm.

•Civil matter, Rte. 108, Napoleon Township, 1:28 p.m. Thursday.

•Suspicious activity, T-297 County Road 22, Napoleon Township, 2:32 p.m. Thursday, all okay.

•Property damage, R-483 County Road 10, Liberty Township, 4:34 p.m. Thursday, vehicle damaged.

•Noise disturbance, 400 S. Squire St., Holgate, 11:18 p.m. Thursday, loud music, officer spoke with subject.

•Dog complaint, 219 Smith St., Holgate, 4:41 a.m. Friday, officer spoke with owner.

•Vehicle in ditch, County Road E near County Road 2A, Bartlow Township, 7 a.m. Friday, pulled to roadway, no damage.

•Traffic problem, State Route 281 near County Road 14, Flatrock Township, 2:25 p.m. Friday, combine slid off berm.
