LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — One individual had minor injuries following a four-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 24 Friday morning.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Abigayle D. Baker, 20, of Defiance was westbound on Rte. 24 near mile marker 46.6 at 11:41 a.m. when she side-swiped the left rear of a vehicle operated by Brian M. Culver, 48, of Belleville, Michigan. Baker’s pick-up truck spun out in the left lane, crossed over the median and traveled into the eastbound lane and struck the right side of the trailer of a semi operated by Jose Luis A. Cepeda, 32, no address provided. Baker’s vehicle spun around again and came to rest in the middle of Rte. 24. A fourth vehicle was traveling eastbound on Rte. 24 and was struck by debris from the crash.
Baker had minor injuries and was transported by a family member to a medical facility. No other injuries were reported. Baker’s vehicle was disabled, as was Cepeda’s vehicle. Culver’s vehicle and the fourth vehicle did not have any damage.
Baker was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control.
