KALIDA — The Village of Kalida Police Department reported a vehicle struck a home on West Main Street Monday morning.

A press release issued by Chief Jim Gulker stated Derrick Conn, 50, of Columbus Grove was westbound in the 400 block of West Main Street in Kalida at 11:49 a.m. and crossed over the eastbound lane. The vehicle then left the roadway, sideswiped a power pole and struck a house at 417 W. Main St.

It was reported no one was inside the home at the time of the crash. Conn had possible injuries and was transported to a medical facility by Kalida EMS.

Assisting at the scene were the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, and Kalida Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
