Items reported to police department:
•Illegal dumping, Oakwood Avenue yard waste site, 10:27 a.m. Tuesday, warning issued; another instance reported at same time and location, investigation pending.
•Juvenile matter, Beckham Street near Last Street, 5:43 p.m. Tuesday.
Archbold Police Department
Narratives completed by the police department:
•An officer took a report of a missing wallet with unauthorized transaction attempts on a debit card. The victim believed the wallet was left at a business in the village. A followup was done at the business, and the wallet was stored inside of the business’ safe, with bank cards still secured inside. The wallet was then returned to the victim.
•A juvenile matter was reported on East Williams Street at 9:54 p.m. May 9. Officers made contact and the issue was resolved.
•An officer was dispatched for a scam complaint at 11:52 a.m. May 9. It was advised the resident had a pop-up notice to contact a computer security department. It was reported the resident believed it was a legitimate message and sent money to another location. An investigation continued as of the time of the report.
•A neighbor dispute was reported on East Lutz Road at 9:17 p.m. May 10. All parties were warned for disorderly conduct with persistence.
•An officer took a report of a scam at 7:35 p.m. May 10. It was reported the victim provided a suspect money under the belief they were purchasing a vehicle, but the sale was found to be illegitimate. An investigation continued as of the time of the report.
•A warrant for failure to appear was served to Angela M. Bruinix, 33, of Archbold at 2:17 p.m. May 11. Bond was posted. Fulton County Common Pleas Court online records indicate Bruinix failed to appear for a March pay/appear hearing stemming from a previous animal-at-large violation.
•Officers observed a southbound vehicle with only one headlight on Defiance Street at 10:10 p.m. May 11. During a traffic stop, officers reportedly found narcotics and drug abuse instruments. It was reported a summons was issued to John H. Pratt, 38, of Bryan for possession of drug abuse instruments.
•A matter of criminal trespassing was reported at 2001 S. Defiance St. Lot #152 at 9:55 p.m. May 12. It was advised a subject was on the property and placed pictures of an acquaintance on the resident’s vehicle windshield, and then took photos of the vehicle and residence. Officers were unable to make contact with the subject.
•A suspicious vehicle was reported in a parking lot at 405 E. Lutz Road at 11:25 p.m. May 13. Contact was made with the subject and Joshua D. Hagerman, 35, of Morenci, Michigan, was served a warrant out of Michigan. Hagerman was transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) and the vehicle was impounded.
Wauseon Police Department
Accidents:
Mackenzie A. Keene, 23, of Morenci was southbound on North Fulton Street at 9:57 a.m. May 17. An unknown motorist was westbound on East Walnut Street. It was reported the unknown motorist appeared to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection and then proceeded forward. This vehicle then struck the driver’s side rear bumper of Keene’s vehicle as it passed through the intersection and continued westbound without stopping for the crash. No injuries were reported, and damage to Keene’s vehicle was minor.
Henry County Sheriff’s Office
Items reported to the sheriff’s office:
•Suspicious vehicle, County Road Q1, 8:42 p.m. Tuesday.
•Suspicious activity, County Road P, 9:08 a.m. Wednesday.
Fulton County Sheriff’s Office
Accidents:
Michael J. Scott, 53, of Swanton was westbound on County Road C near County Road 10 in York Township at 5:58 a.m. Saturday when it was reported his vehicle struck a deer that ran onto the roadway. Scott was not injured, and damage to his vehicle was functional.
Carrie M. Baldridge Myers, 64, of Continental was southbound on County Road 17, approaching a curve at County Road TU in Chesterfield Township at 4:02 p.m. Sunday. It was reported Baldridge Myers failed to negotiate the curve, and her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. Baldridge Myers was not injured, and damage to her vehicle was functional.
Zachary C. Marihugh, 37, of West Unity was westbound on County Road J near County Road 26 in Franklin Township at 12:15 a.m. Sunday when it was reported his vehicle struck a deer that ran onto the roadway. Marihugh was not injured, and damage to his vehicle was functional.
