SWANTON — Swanton outscored Patrick Henry in each of the first three quarters and had three players score in double figures as it edged the Patriots for a 46-43 win in Friday’s Northwest Ohio Athletic League action.

Nic Borojevich paced Swanton with 15 points and Luc Borojevich scored 14. Sam Betz added 11 points for the Bulldogs (11-1, 2-0 NWOAL).

Nash Meyer made three of PH’s four 3-pointers and led the Patriots with 17 points. Landon Johnson chipped in seven points, while freshman Lincoln Creager was held to two points.

PH travels to Leipsic for a non-league game tonight.

Ayersville 51, Tinora 50

DEFIANCE — Ayersville built a 16-point lead over Tinora in the first half and held on for a 51-50 Green Meadows Conference win Friday.

Jakob Trevino, who scored 16 points, buried a putback with 25 seconds to play to give the Pilots the win — their ninth consecutive victory.

Tyson Schlachter paced Ayersville (10-2, 3-0 GMC) with a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double, which included nine offensive rebounds. Carter Michel scored eight points with three rebounds off the bench.

Ayersville travels to Antwerp Friday for a GMC game.

Archbold 68, Bryan 26

ARCHBOLD — Archbold shot a blistering 63% from 3-point range on 24 attempts as it toppled Bryan for a 68-26 win in Friday’s NWOAL game.

Alex Roth made five 3s and scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Bluestreaks, who improved to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the NWOAL.

Cade Brenner added 15 points for Archbold and Jayden Seiler buried three 3s for nine points.

Archbold travels to Defiance for a non-league game Tuesday.

North Central 60, Pettisville 56

PETTISVILLE — Pettisville’s halftime lead was wiped away when it allowed 43 second-half points as North Central rallied for a 60-56 Buckeye Border Conference win Friday night.

Jaret Beck’s 20 points led Pettisville (7-5, 2-1 BBC), which had four players score in double figures. Cayden Jacoby added 14 points, while Sean Adkins and Zakkai Kaufmann each scored 11.

Zach Hayes paced North Central (7-3, 3-0), which remains unbeaten in the league, with 19 points. Landon Justice chipped in 12 points.

Pettisville travels to Evergreen for a non-league game today.

Thursday’s games

Girls basketball

Patrick Henry 44, Swanton 27

HAMLER — Kya Seemann and Karsyn Weber combined for 29 points to lead Patrick Henry to its second consecutive win with a 44-27 decision over Swanton in Thursday’s NWOAL girls basketball game.

Seemann knocked down a game-high four 3-pointers and led with 16 points, while Weber made a pair of 3s and scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half.

Madison Prigge chipped in seven points for the Lady Patriots (2-9).

PH hosts North Baltimore today in a non-league game.

Wauseon 44, Liberty Center 38

WAUSEON — Liberty Center doubled up Wauseon in the fourth quarter Thursday, but its comeback attempt fell short in a 44-38 NWOAL loss.

Peyton Armey paced the Lady Tigers (8-6, 2-1 NWOAL) with 14 points and Eme Gray scored seven.

Marisa Seiler’s 17 points led the Lady Indians, who improved to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in the NWOAL.

Hayley Meyer tossed in 11 points for Wauseon, while Autumn Pelok scored nine.

Liberty Center travels to Elmwood Monday for a non-league contest, while Wauseon hosts Pettisville in non-league play Tuesday.

Bryan 50, Archbold 19

BRYAN — Reese Grothaus and Addie Arnold combined to make nine 3-pointers and led Bryan to a 50-19 win over Archbold in Thursday’s Northwest Ohio Athletic League girls basketball game.

Grothaus made a game-high five 3s and led the Bears (12-2, 3-0 NWOAL) with 17 points, while Arnold hit four 3s and added 14 points.

Sophie Rupp, Harley Phillips and Alivia Rodriguez each scored four points to lead the Lady Streaks (9-6, 1-2).

Archbold travels to Springfield for a non-league game tonight.
