Victor E. Lange

Victor E. Lange, 93, of Napoleon passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Northcrest Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Victor was born in Rhodes, Gladwin County, Michigan, May 6, 1926, to Carl and Alvina (Fintel) Lange. He was baptized May 16, 1926, by Pastor Rudolph Muenzinger and confirmed March 17, 1940, at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, Ohio, by Pastor A. G. Wacke; confirmation verse: John 14:23. He was married April 10, 1948, to Irma Badenhop at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, by Pastor George Maassel.

Victor had multiple jobs over the years, some of which included a mechanic at Bill Travis Motor Sales and a sales representative for Honneger Feed Co., Napoleon Lumber Co., and Holgate Lumber Co. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon and served as an usher, treasurer, elder and participated in St. Paul Lutheran Hour Ministries. He was also a guest member of the Napoleon V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Irma, of 71 years; two sons, Jerry (Debra), Wauseon, Ronald (Karlyn), Perrysburg; two daughters, Sue (Rick) Bruback, Collierville, Tennessee, Annette (Mark) Kolbe, Napoleon; son-in-law Rodney Ault, Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnold, N. Ft. Myers, Florida; sister-in-law, Margie Lange, Napoleon; and brother-in-law, Don Badenhop, Napoleon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie (Rodney) Ault; brothers, Eugene and Paul; and sisters-in-law, Wilma and Dorothy Lange.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. at Snyder-Wesche-Hoening Funeral Home (830 N. Scott St.) of Napoleon. Funeral services will follow Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1075 Glenwood Ave.) of Napoleon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Peter Marcis and Rev. Logan Scheiwe will be officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery of Napoleon.

Memorials in Victor’s memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
