Norma Jean Brown, 62, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away in her home on Feb. 8, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Napoleon on June 12, 1960, to Robert and Velma (Schuette) Dietrich. On July 21, 1979, she married Alan Brown at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
Norma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. She enjoyed sewing, taking motorcycle rides and raising chickens for their eggs. Norma was the bookkeeper for the family business. She loved to have her family close to her, especially her grandchildren, whom she helped take care of and had them for unforgettable sleepovers.
Norma in survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Alan; children, Christopher (Anne) Brown, Marie (Michael) Pauly, Taylor Brown and Jason (Maegan) Brown; grandchildren, Ellamae, Marlee, Mason, Jezlynn and Christa; and siblings, Roger (Diane) Dietrich, Linda Ashbaugh, Kathy (Bud) Shuping and Robert (Cheryl) Dietrich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tom Ashbaugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s honor to CHP Defiance Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
