Judith Eileen Travis Leininger, 83, lifelong resident of Liberty Center passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, in the comfort of her own home.

Judith was born at home in Liberty Center, Ohio, to the late Julian Slater and Lura Helen (Johnston) Travis. She married Dale E. Leininger on March 28, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2002, after 44 years of marriage.

Judith is survived by her children, Daniel (Ruby), Diane (David), Douglas (Patty), Dawn (John) and D’Anna (Patrick); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Debra who passed away on Aug. 8, 1973; a great-grandson; and her brother, Bryce Travis.

Judith along with her husband Dale owned and operated Dale Leininger Builders, Those Bloomin’ Things and EON Industries. Judith was an avid gardener, crafter and sewer. She loved working with ceramics, baking, cooking and reading. Her true passion was spending time with her family, pets and birds.

A Memorial Service for Judith will be held for her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center.

Memorial contributions may be gifted in Judith’s honor to LifeWise Academy, Liberty Center Wesleyan Church or the charity of the donors’ choice.
