Larry VanDenBerghe

Larry VanDenBerghe, 68, of Liberty Center passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021.

Larry was born Feb. 6, 1952, to the late Arthur and Alice (Vermuelen) VanDenBerghe, and was a long time resident of Liberty Center. Larry is survived by his daughters Jo (Ron) Heinold of Waterville, Ohio, and Randy (Scott) Baker of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; four grandsons; six granddaughters; and brothers, Pete and George VanDenBerghe.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Georgette, Godelieve, Rita, Henry and Albert.

Larry was very proud of his Belgian heritage. He played the harmonica, painted folk art, and had written many stories. He loved telling tales and excelled at playing games. He worked mostly in the masonry business and took on many challenging projects. Larry was very generous individual who liked to make people laugh and was very proud of his grandchildren.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center, Ohio 43532.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s honor to the Liberty Center Public Library, 124 East St., Liberty Center, Ohio 43532.
