MAUMEE — Tied at 1 at halftime, Napoleon scored three second-half goals and posted a 4-1 Northern Lakes League victory over Maumee Tuesday.
Devin Boettner scored the go-ahead goal early in the second half. Boettner found the back of the net using a header off a free kick from Luis Kaindlstorfer.
Trey Cruz also scored on a header, banging the ball in off a corner kick from Nick Bunke, and Boettner scored his second goal of the half, with Kaindlstorfer sliding a pass into the box for an assist.
Ben Schumm made four saves in goal, including one on a penalty kick when the game was still scoreless.
Maumee scored the game’s first goal, but Kaindlstorfer tied the game with a goal off an assist from Aidan Foor.
Napoleon is now 4-2-1 overall and 2-1 in the NLL. The Wildcats play host to Ottawa-Glandorf Thursday night.
Wauseon 5, Liberty Center 0
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Chase Soltis scored two goals to back a strong effort from Easton Delgado in net as Wauseon picked up a Northwest Ohio Athletic League victory by topping Liberty Center 5-0 Tuesday at Widewater Retreat.
Eli Delgado, JT Hutchinson and Ethan Glover also scored for the Indians, who also got two assists from Hutchinson and one from Eli Delgado.
The Indians held LC without a shot on goal in the second half.
Liberty Center (2-3) hosts Toledo-Bowsher tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Widewater Retreat, while Wauseon (4-0-3) travels to face Toledo Central Catholic tomorrow at 6 p.m.
Archbold 7, Swanton 1
SWANTON — Elijah Zimmerman scored three second-half goals and added one assist to lead Archbold to a 7-1 win over Swanton Tuesday in NWOAL action.
Josiah Magallanes, Trey Theobald, Kaden Rufenacht and Dawson Liecthy also scored for the Bluestreaks, who also got assists from Magallenes, Theobald and Silas Whiteman (two).
Noah Cheney stopped six of the seven shots he faced in net for Archbold, while Ethan Hensley blocked seven of 14 for the Bulldogs.
Riley Hensley scored an unassisted goal for Swanton’s only tally.
Archbold (3-3-1) travels to face Defiance Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Liberty Center 11, Otsego 1
TONTOGANY — Cassidy Chapa and Samantha Engler combined for 11 points as Liberty Center rolled to an 11-1 non-conference thrashing of Otsego Tuesday.
Chapa finished with five goals, while Engler scored two and added four assists. Aubree Hollenbaugh added two goals and an assist for the Lady Tigers, who also got a goal from Peyton Armey.
Carly Roth produced two assists, while Lydia Ball, Jillian Hoffman and Maddie Reckner also added helpers for LC.
Morgan Garber and Taryn Hollenbaugh combined to stop six of seven shots on goal in the contest.
