HOLGATE — Hicksville erased a nine-point deficit in the second half to post a 31-29 Green Meadows Conference victory over the Lady Tigers in the Tiger Cage Friday night.
After scoring 1 point in the first quarter, Holgate rallied to take a 14-11 lead at halftime. The Lady Tigers pushed the lead to 9 points midway through the third quarter. Hicksville trimmed the lead to 22-17 entering the fourth and outscored Holgate 14-7 in the final period for the win.
Kenzie Schroeder scored all 14 of her points in the second half to lead the Lady Aces (4-8 overall, 1-1 in the GMC). Avery Slattery added 10 points.
Raenna Willett led all scorers with 16 points for Holgate, which is now 1-12 overall and 1-1 in the GMC. The Lady Tigers are off until Friday, when they host Fairview.
Delta 42, PH 25
HAMLER — Patrick Henry scored 2 points in the first quarter and eight in the first half, as Delta led 27-8 at intermission and coasted to a 42-25 Northwest Ohio Athletic League win Friday in the House of Heat.
Brooklyn Green led the Lady Panthers (10-2 overall, 2-0 in the NWOAL) with 17 points, while Braelyn Wymer added 10.
Kenzie Vance led the Lady Patriots with 7 points, while Carissa Rosebrook added 6 points.
Patrick Henry is now 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the NWOAL. The Lady Patriots travel to Archbold Thursday.
Evergeen 39, LC 32
METAMORA — Evergreen sank enough free throws (5 of 8) in the fourth quarter to hold off Liberty Center for a 39-32 NWOAL victory Friday night.
Alyssa Giesige led all scorers with 10 points for the Lady Tigers. Liberty Center finished the game with more free throws (11) than field goals (10).
Evergreen (6-6 overall and 1-1 in the NWOAL) also had more made free throws (14) than field goals (11).
Liberty Center is now 6-6 overall and 0-2 in the NWOAL. The Lady Tigers host Montpelier Tuesday.
Wauseon 48, Archbold 45
WAUSEON — Archbold jumped out to a 15-6 lead after the first quarter, but the Lady Indians outscored the Lady Streaks 32-18 in the middle two periods to gain the lead and held on for a 48-45 NWOAL win Friday night.
Sydney Zirkle led Wauseon with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Sam Aeschliman added 14 points.
Archbold was paced by Abi Borojevich with 17 points, while Kylie Sauder added 11. Naomi Rodriguez tallied 8 points and had a team-high five rebounds.
The Lady Streaks are now 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the NWOAL, while Wauseon improves to 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the NWOAL.
