SYLVANIA — The Napoleon girls basketball team wrapped up its best regular season in program history Wednesday, beating Northview 60-41 in Northern Lakes League action.

Caely Ressler led the Lady Cats with 15 points, while Shae Pedroza added 14 and Taylor Strock 13. Kalli Helberg chipped in seven points for Napoleon, which also got six from Cait Good.

Aliza Lankenau contributed three points, while Emily Bostelman rounded out the Napoleon scoring with two points.

The Lady Cats led 9-6 after the first and 26-14 at halftime after a 17-8 run in the second quarter. Napoleon used a 17-15 push in the third to go into the fourth with a 43-29 lead before a 17-12 push sealed the win for Napoleon.

Kacee Baumhower led all scorers with 20 points for Northview, which also got five from Mikayla Mattimore and four each from Madi Taylor and Kelsey Leamy.

Carly Maple, Alana Faist, Meghan Coakley and Charley Sullins each scored two points to complete the Lady Kats’ scoresheet.

Northview made six of 14 shots from the free-throw line, while Napoleon hit 12 of 14. The Lady Cats made eight shots from beyond the three-point line, while Northview hit three.

Napoleon (22-0, 14-0 NLL) turns its focus to the Division II state tournament, where the Lady Cats await the winner of Celina and Kenton in Miller City Feb. 22. Northview (10-10, 6-7 NLL) faces Wapakoneta Wednesday in the Division I state tournament at Lake High School in Millbury.
