Amber Gerdeman

Patrick Henry volleyball coach Amber Gerdeman resigned Wednesday after one year at the helm of the Lady Patriots’ program. Gerdeman compiled a record of 11-12.

HAMLER — Patrick Henry High School announced Wednesday that volleyball coach Amber Gerdeman has resigned from the position, effective immediately, in a statement released to the press.

Gerdeman coached at PH for one year, compiling a record of 11-12.

“I will be leaving as the Patrick Henry High School volleyball head coach, as I have accepted another coaching job in a different school district,” Gerdeman said in the statement. “I want to thank the girls, parents and Patrick Henry administration for giving me the opportunity to coach here at Patrick Henry. It has been a privilege, and I have enjoyed every part of being in your great district. I have learned a great deal from the staff and the athletes, and I will always be grateful to you and the Patriots for teaching me so much about volleyball and about life.”

PH athletic director Ben George thanked Gerdeman for her service to the program.

“I thank Amber for her commitment to the Patrick Henry volleyball program this past season,” George said. “She dedicated a lot of time and effort to our student-athletes, and I wish her the best in her future coaching career.”

PH did not comment on a potential replacement for Gerdeman.
