Perry advances and will face Hopewell-Loudon in the regional semifinals Friday.
Due to injuries and illness, Hilltop canceled its football game on Friday at Morral Ridgedale.
The Cadets had three players unable to play due to injuries and two more who have been out of school all week due to illness, according to Hilltop Athletics Director Tony Gerig. He added that the Cadets would have had just 13 healthy players competing against Ridgedale.
Gerig said the Cadets (0-7) will try to do everything they can to play their scheduled game at Antwerp (1-7) on Friday. Antwerp lost to Leipsic 41-13 in a Division VII, Region 26 second-round playoff game on Friday.
Hilltop had a scheduled game against Edon on Oct. 30, but the two schools agreed not to play that game, according to Gerig.
