SIDNEY — The Napoleon River Bandits picked up its second win over Sidney within a week, winning 8-3 in eight full innings Wednesday.
Jeron Williams (Archbold), Daryke Bass (Edon), Dakota Benner (Montpelier) and Landon Willeman (Napoleon) each had two hits for the River Bandits. Williams, Bass and Willeman each drove in two, while Benner and Hunter Bostater (Fairview) each knocked in a run.
Bryer Bentley (Montpelier) went four innings in the start for the River Bandits, striking out seven and allowing two runs. Levi Gonyer (Otsego) tossed a scoreless inning in relief, while Jacob Smith (Napoleon) and Austin Lichty (Antwerp) combined for the final three innings.
Napoleon scored one in the second, one in the sixth, two in the seventh and four in the eighth before the game was stopped in the ninth. Sidney scored twice in the third and once in the eighth to account for its scoring.
The River Bandits (9-4) host Stevensville Saturday at 2 p.m. in Defiance.
